One of the (many) things I like about Australian cafes is stopping by in the morning for a flat white and some raisin toast. Not the sweet, cinnamon-sugary kind that you find here in the states, but a savory whole-grain slice dotted with raisins (ahem, sultanas), all warm and slathered in butter. We've been experimenting with recipes, trying to find a close approximation. This one
is my version that is the closest so far.
It's unexpectedly nice with peanut butter as well. Or Nutella, if you need to go the sweet route.
