I had a nice visit from my friend Becky last night, and she got a life-giving dose of Davidson before going down to Athens for a vet school interview. We got to talking about having a plan (or rather, the lack of one), and came to the conclusion that, with only a few exceptions, most people we know are doing whatever they're doing until they figure out what their plan is. Some just know what their distraction will be for the next few years, and some will have their tentative plans pan out into full-fledged careers -- mostly without them meaning to. I guess that makes me less worried about my own situation for the moment. After all, as Jan used to say, you should just pick something, and if it doesn't work for you, pick something else.

Meanwhile, the possibility looms that I might be going up to Philly next weekend for a furniture show...I think I find out on Tuesday.
